How about bar recommendations in the area? Last months I spent few good hours at Fraunces on Pearl St. This time thinking of Dubliner. Strictly talking about downtown area. Another world opens-up when you hop on the train towards the west village but I will be with coworkers who might not be as enthusiastic as myself.

Any 53rd st halal guy equivalent in downtown area? I will be arriving around 10pm (Monday night) and food choices are pretty scarce in that area at night.
