Have a Delsey 25" roller expandable that we take along on cruises and extended oversea trips, picked up at Macy's @ 65% off about 7 or 8 years ago, been all over with it and still functional with normal wear-n-tear, zippers been clipped by TSA, decals ripped by the conveyer belts, etc. and on the heavy side empty - easily stuff 55 lbs. plus without unzipping the sides.

Unlikely in replacing it with another Delsey, although it's lasting as long as the Travelpro 22" that's 10+ years old and like OP, not a Tumi person (except for the wallet)

I suggest taking a look at the eBags Mother Lode TLS Mini 21" Wheeled Duffle at about 2,250 ci or 2,750 ci expanded http://www.ebags.com/product/ebags/m...16&rlid=DETAIL or the Mother Lode TLS Weekender Junior rated @ 2,540 ci -

I use the bigger TLS Weekender that can easily convert to a backpack with 3,200 ci plus of space. All of these carry lifetime warranty that's easy to submit claims for, and are well designed and highly functional. The 22" carryon is under 4 lbs. empty - it's like the netbook & adapter riding for free.
