Its a nice hotel, nice rooms and service. Pretty close to the convention center. If you are attending a conference its a good match. Its NOT in the gaslamp quarter a claimed though, but slightly off to eastern part of downtown. San Diego downtown is not that big though, so no problem walking there. Would still recommend.
