The vast majority of my flights I find all AS employees to be professional and friendly. Some of the best service I receive on board tends to come from the "newer" FA as they are on the shorter flights like SEA-SFO. AS is my favorite airline and I am very loyal
Which is why I am disappointed to admit I have been running into more poor service than I have in the past and they tend to occur on the longer legs....most notably Hawaii. I fly to from Hawaii (HNL, OGG) at least 4x year and it is on these flights that I tend to see the worst service (especially in first). same thing on SEA/MCI. Definitely think some of the tenured FA could use a re-fresher on customer service. But on SEA/MSP - generally top notch service by this tenured crew.
After 2 trips in a row with same surly FA in First on SEA/MCI route (poor attitude, rude, yanked glasses out of your hand, threw trays down, she'd snap at you if you asked any questions first class meal ). My last trip in first was so bad that I actually called customer service to complain. Something I've never done before but thought someone needed to talk to her about her attitude and service. And she alone would give all other AS FA a bad name, especially if this was your first time flying AS esp in First class.
All during service she was abrupt and rushed. While pouring my glass of red, she pulled up the bottle so quickly that it spilled down the front of my white shirt. She said nothing, turned and walked away. When I brought it to her attention she blamed me and when I asked for club soda she came back and started to pour the can onto my shirt. Needless to say I told her to stop and just give me the can with lots of napkins. Not once did she ever apologize and as passengers were preparing to exit nearly every pax was loudly saying "what's up with the FA...what's her problem..., etc"
I don't fly that route anymore for work so haven't seen her again. I am still curious is she ever changed her style. If you do fly that route I am sure you know which FA I am talking about.
