In fairness, it's been 17 years since United retired that tagline ... while I'm sure many people remember the phrase, I'm not surprised that the contestants had difficulty with the brand association.
Unfortunately, the great advertising of United came to an end long before the the merger ... none of the taglines used between 1996 and the merger were exactly exemplifications of marketing prowess.
