Well, regardless of the actual mechanics of the switch, which one should I keep? I'm not sure the annual fee would be worth it on the Select if I'm not spending money on it.

I'd have to rent cars a lot more frequently than I do to justify the the annual fee if I'm not also using it to earn points.
