It seems that there is not a big difference between room rates for JW and RC KL ($160 vs $200 for the dates I checked).

As a MR PLT, lounge benefit at the JW is a nice perk. But otherwise with only a slight room rate difference, the RC seem like a reasonable option. Has anyone stayed at both properties and can compare the 2 properties?

I also noted that the room rate at the Mandarin Oriental was comparable to the RC, but right next to the Petronas Towers. I have never stayed at a RC or a MO, but is there a reason to stay at the RC (vs the MO) as a MR PLT, when the MR elite benefits are minimal at the RC?
