I would think that people in your profession would care that anybody could pretend they're a travel agent. If you really are a travel agent, and you really want to provide some codes to this fellow who most certainly isn't, go for it!
I see no problem with providing TA codes, and, really, any other codes.
Further, if FT weren't a "legal" information exchange, it would have been shut down long ago. (If you want to spout about "legality" I sure hope you are a licensed attorney.)
I'm a TA, and have the IATA card. I often have to search for information and don't feel like being on hold on the phone calling CS for 20 minutes any more than you. If I can get what I seek via FT, that's all well.
If a person isn't eligible to use the code, s/he will most likely be caught at check-in, and probably pay the penalty. Therefore, again, no harm is done with our information exchange. Where there is a problem is a member asking a simple question and being instantly shot down...sometimnes, it seems, just for the joy of being a total jerk. (Unfortunately, I see this more and more.)
