What do you expect? No one was injured, I don't see why you would even think about complaining at LH for this. Let alone asking for monetary compensation .
I am sorry to say but you (and others are missing the point). It's a pretty big deal for some one to accidentally eat meat, if his/her religion doesnt allow. Moreover, if there is a law in India about compensation, why shouldnt the OP expect the compensation?? Don't we all get mad if we are entitled to certain benefits as frequent fliers (numerous posts regarding people getting mad about lounge dragons refusing entry to elite fliers) and get mad when we don't get those benefits??
