I am sorry to resurrect an older thread, but I am watching this documentary now. What prompted me to post here was the interviewees' report that pre-9/11 security was a joke. Several people have said in this forum that pre-9/11 security plus secured cockpit doors plus a change in pax/crew mindset would be an appropriate level of security. Based on this documentary, though, pre-9/11 security had serious flaws--at least on the detection side. Maybe the secured doors and the change in pax/crew mindset are enough to overcome the other flaws? Maybe there are some post-9/11 initiatives that are worth keeping? Maybe the specifics of airport security don't really matter because the greatest danger is when elected and appointed officials let politics blind them to the warning signs?
FWIW, I am not a fan of TSA.
