"Best Buy" vending machines at airports - good/bad?

Has anyone used one of these and if so, are they reliable / offer any purchase protection?

I've been thinking about getting a pair of Bose noise cancelling headphones and the machines in MIA, MCO, LAX etc have the QC15s for $299.99.
Whilst it might be easy to order a pair online and get them shipped to a hotel, sometimes I've a few domestic flights before stopping for the night somewhere and being able to pick up a pair at the airport is handy.

I'm in the UK and they generally cost £279.99-299.99 here or $430+ so a good £70-100+ less in the US.
