I agree, the South Point is a good value, as I said in my post above. It's just I hate the resort fees! The M Resort, a few miles further south past South Point, once charged a resort fee when they opened, and then got rid of it, so it is my favorite place off strip.
While the M doesn't have a resort fee, they do charge $14.99 a day for internet if you are on a discounted room rate.
In the end, I just add any resort or internet fee to the room rate and make my decision on the total. I don't really care how they divide the rate up, just the total. Beyond the rate, the question is where do I like to play and eat. Oddly, my favorites are the Mandarin. The Hotel and Southpoint. It depends on if I'm alone or with my wife and what we have planned.
