Well that is exactly what I assumed and maybe wrongly, but in post #5 the OP did say the cards were a good idea and will be doing that. So I took the title to mean not illiterate in All languages but is for those that would be used on the Carrier and Flight they were interested in putting their MIL onto
and if they are illiterate in All langauages then the OP could draw some type of a pic so that their MIL can show the card to the FA or whomever and they will read the English written on it and beable to help the passenger out
