Upstairs is by far better: two lavs, dedicated crew and galley-feels like a small pvt jet up there. Even better with MkII seats but one less J lav! Much rarer to have kids on UD too I've found.
That said I would still prefer of F seat seat 1A sold as J in the nose any day.

The only real downside to the UD is the bouncy floor and the delay to disembarking due to congestion around the stairs. But, UD is much quieter.
