I did 3 weeks through Europe in January with a Nexus 7 without a problem. I can still use flash websites on my Galaxy Nexus. I also wanted to travel light, and the only hassle was waiting until halfway through the trip until I got to a B&B that provided a laptop in the room for me to backup all my photos and videos onto USB flash drives (smaller and weigh less than portable hard drives). I would much prefer backing up every couple of days, but that was part of the sacrifice. In all locations, wifi was not fast enough to do a secondary backup to cloud storage (however, we're talking GBs of photos and videos, so it's not their fault).
