A RC should never have gone into Highlands but the one in Aspen failed so Highlands was the next best spot that had the land to create a fractional ownership unlike any other mountain.

I agree that it did take away from the serene magnitude of Highlands Mt as a "locals mountain". It is far enough away from Aspen where you did not get the over zealous people that only come to Apre Ski and ride the gondola up and down.

It truly is a amazing mountain though to ski. If you do come to Aspen Carls take a day and ski Highlands as it is unlike any other mountain in the Rockies or the for matter the West.
