Just got back from a 3-night stay at the Westin Canal Place, and we had a lovely time as always.
Couple updates on some outstanding questions regarding elevators and beds:

Yes. The elevators from the street to the lobby have completed their renovation, but the elevators from the lobby to the guest floors are still being renovated. Of the four guest floor elevators: 2 had completed their renovation, 1 was currently out of service being renovated, and 1 hadn't been renovated yet. So it's still an ongoing process. So we're still sitting at 5 of 7 completed.

I booked the Bienville (800 sq ft) suite even though the French Quarter (1200 sq ft) suite is available (crossing fingers for upgrade
). Does anyone know if the sofa in either of these suites are pull-outs? We may have one of our friends bunk with us in the room and I was curious how they handle it at this Westin. The pics shown from a couple years ago show a simple couch, so I am guessing it's only rollaway beds.

Just rollaways I'm afraid. Out Bienville Suite had just a plain old non pull-out couch.
