My concern with doing things late is we only get to YVR from the UK in the middle of that week, so there's every chance the kids will be getting up earlier than normal, and I doubt I'll be fully adjusted by then either. The nightmare scenario is the kids falling asleep in the car at say 6pm, waking up at 9pm then thinking it's actually 5am back home.

It's more likely that we'll be away from Vancouver at 6am!
