I need to get from Vancouver to Port Angeles with the family (wife & three young kids).

I think the best way to do this is ferry to Vancouver Island, drive to Victoria and ferry to P.A.

However do you really need to check in 90 minutes before departure (3pm sailing)?

And can anyone recommend any good lunch spots for a family - preferably with a play area that the kids can run around - in a sensible location in or very near Victoria?

Would consider eating in town but guess we need to be mindful of parking etc - will be a Saturday.
