Empress:

That is my dilemma: I have to decide by tomorrow - an H class fare, which is upgradeable, but double the seat sale fare, which is not upgradeable - the tickets to be bought for myself, my wife, and my 7 yr old daughter. I would prefer to pay for the cheapest available fare (Q or L class fares), but for a transcontinental flight, I obviously would prefer the comforts and service of business class seats.

PS-I guess, if the outgoing flights are with 14 days, the cheapest upgradeable fare is H class fare. If on the same itinerary, the incoming return flights are more than 14 days in advance, can I purchase the return flights on a V class fare basis, instead of H class fares?
