Where were you doing the colonoscopies? I hope you had an anesthesiologist, cardiologist, orthopeadic surgeon, OB-GYN and urologist with you in the procedure room in case something went wrong. This overkill is a good correlation to what you are asking. You would go broke paying all the specialists with a small chance of actually needing them.
