Speaking with a DL Exec involved with this project, I'm told its about providing customer flexibility and processing/paperwork savings on DL's end, so the issues with acceptance are more about vendors who know how to use these types of temporary MasterCard numbers vs vendors restricting what items can be used (ie: booze).
