I paid $800 in lap infant fees on a mixed First/Business TPAC award roundtrip that is upcoming in a few months. I did it online on the .com, and there was the shortest terms and conditions for an airline ever, but basically said the lap infant fees and taxes are not refundable.

Is that really the case? I'm a 1K so I can cancel the award tickets for me and my wife for no charge, but would I really be out the lap infant fees entirely?

If so, is a credit that I can apply to another ticket? What I really am looking to do is possibly move our outbound date, but I'm worried if that causes a complete reissue of the ticket and I'll be due an entirely fresh set of fees.
