Flying IND-ATL-MCO in May w/my non-elite spouse; bought the tickets @ Delta and I was going to switch my FF# to my MVP Gold. I think all we lose is the chance for a companion upgrade (which probably wouldn't happen on a T/W), same seat options and same baggage options.

I'm curious if anyone else has been in a similar situation and the pros and cons of each?
(In this case, retaining status is not important since I'm not going to fly enough this year unless I do a mileage run.)
