Because it does not work fully all the time. I continually get "UNITED data not available at this time" when using the app and trying to look at things such as the Upgrade list.
When that happens to me (and it does quite a lot ), I simply back out of the flight screen for the flight I'm looking at and start again from the list of flights I want status from and that usually solves the problem
