Long time lurker and joined FT in the hope some of you experts can help. A bit of dilemma at hand: I just managed to vacuum-clean my Skywards account from the miles that I collected on my last trip XXX-YYY to upgrade my super special ticket in Y to J and am wondering what/how I should do to make sure I get allocated a F seat on this week's EK1234 flight (1hr 45min long). I already see on EF that the aircraft seatmap for that flight, despite being a 2-class route, is actually 3-class (yes with the spa). I read somewhere that you need to be at least Skywards Gold to be able to select those up front seats. Mind you I only joined Skywards last summer when we went on hols' and so am only a lowly blue. Is there something I could do prior to the flight? Or should I just take my chances at the airport? Also if all went well and scored that F seat, could I go into Emirates F class lounge during transit in DXB? I tried searching here but couldn't for the life of me figure out if I am eligible for chauffeur transfer as it shows on manage my booking but when I try to book it it gives me an error. One last thing, again if all went well, will I be able to use the spa?
Thanks!
