Between my husband and I we have about 6000K with the advantage program. Our daughter was recenrly married and among our gifts to the bridal couple, we "pledged" 125.000 to each of them. so they could take a nice trip.
I am very challenged when it comes to various rules/regulations. (Indeed we will be needing help for our own travels next year).
If it can be done, I would much rather that they arrange for their own travels/hotels. I just think it would be too complicated (time-consuming and frustrating) to actively be part of their planning). They are in the UK and we are in the nr. Caribbean so communication won't be optimum
Would it be possible to open AA accounts in their own names and I deposit the promised miles. Would One World be included as options should destinations so require ~ like-wise can hotels?
I'd be grateful for feed back many thanks
Although setting up their own account and depositing the miles would be ideal, another option is to allow them access to your account and let them book what they want under their own names and you won't need to pay any transfer fees or hassle with any rules against that. Of course, you will need to have complete faith, but might be wise to change your password before and after granting access.
