I know the one I linked to you get £25 back anyway just for signing up (so the first year is effectively free).

Ultimately though, if you are putting food and petrol on the card it looks like you are better paying the £25 a year and getting the increased rate.

Or just do it for a year (with the £25 back) and then switch to the Everyday Card after 12 months.
