With transportation costs basically the same I would call this a tie for staying on points between the two with free breakfast and evening drinks for those with status. We spent more at the CR only because there was the opportunity to for some dining options.

One more question if you can - I am going over next February and have 6 days booked at CR, with 3 days over. Assuming I have plenty of points for both, would you just stay longer at the CR or spend 3 days at the PH as well. I know the extra transfer is about $1k per person, however, I found that seeing the different islands in French Polynesia was fascinating.
