Just to follow up and complete the loop on my original post.

I was able to upgrade my wife OAK-HNL at OLCI for $100 at T-24. Amazing how good a deal that was. With the headwinds flight was almost 6hrs and F went out with a half empty cabin including the seat next to her - AMAZING (don't think you'd see that from SEA).


This would have been a good deal at $150 - at $100 its a screaming one! And yet Alaska must know they can't get many at the $150 level since even with 12 F (U space) available for purchase during OLCI/kiosk/gate they only had 6 total takers.
