it would really help me to have my walker over there and i was thinking about taking it over ..for the first time.
Any advice on how i should take it? Check it with the luggage, (have it shrink-wrapped and check it), take it on board? I don't need it during the flight or immediately thereafter but i was wondering what the best and safest solution would be for the walker. I'm also taken a cane.
While i'm not flying alone, i don't want to burden my poor husband with carrying my carry-on luggage, the cane and the walker.
Thank you very much in advance for any input you may have.

Sounds like a wonderful trip!
Good questions - checking versus taking on board is kind of a balancing act. I guess if I wasn't horribly concerned about the walker being damaged, I might check it, but I'd be more inclined to take it on board. Can you lash the cane to the walker in order to reduce the number of pieces? You might look into cane holders for this purpose (

Since you're getting wheelchair assistance, you can probably carry the cane/walker combo with you in the wheelchair while your husband carries the carry-ons.
