Hello,
I am a Flying Blue Gold member booked on an award flight with Delta in May from JFK to SFO in economy class. According to delta.com, Flying Blue Gold members are entitled to complimentary Economy Comfort seats on domestic US flights:

However, when I try to select an EC seat through the „My Trip“ Tool on delta.com, I am asked to pay the full 69€ fee for such a seat. A phone call with Delta Reservations Agent did not help. The friendly lady from Delta only told me that she could not get a me free EC seat either. When I quoted the information from the Delta website, she consulted with a supervisor, who told her that award tickets were not elegible for complimentary EC seats, despite my FB Gold status.
Has anyone holding FB Gold (or any other Skytem Elite plus) status had a similar experience when trying to benefit from a complimentary EC seat on a domestic Delta flight? Last year, when I was still a FB Platinum member, I had no problem selecting a EC seat on an award flight with Delta from Tokyo to Singapore. Why should I not be able to get the same benefit on a domestic flight, particularly since Delta does not mention anywhere that award flights are excluded from complimentary EC seats for Flying Blue Gold members?
Do you think it's worth talking to Delta once again, and asking them to investigate this problem?
Thanks in advance for any insights you may have!
