how to best take walker to Europe?

Hi everybody,
was just wondering. Going to Germany/Holland in three weeks. Have wheelchair assistance at airport, flying exec. first on Air Canada (pod seat)

it would really help me to have my walker over there and i was thinking about taking it over ..for the first time.

Any advice on how i should take it? Check it with the luggage, (have it shrink-wrapped and check it), take it on board? I don't need it during the flight or immediately thereafter but i was wondering what the best and safest solution would be for the walker. I'm also taken a cane.

While i'm not flying alone, i don't want to burden my poor husband with carrying my carry-on luggage, the cane and the walker.

Thank you very much in advance for any input you may have.

Maggie
