Carryon Recommendations for BA Flights

Hi guys,

I'm leaving YYC to BRU (Transiting through LHR-T5) on BA starting on Sunday. It's only for 4 days so I was thinking of just taking a carry-on/hand bag in addition to my laptop case.

I have two carry-on case options:
1 - Samsonite EZ Cart 21" (23x14.5x10" including wheels)
2 - Samsonite 19" XL8 700 Series (19x14x7.5" including wheels)

BA Handbag w/wheels & handles: 22in x 18in x 10in

So here's my question, I have the above two cases. I'd really like to bring my EZ Cart 21" but with wheels included, you can see that it's just slightly over on length. How sticky is BA going to be? What are my chances of getting onboard without checking my luggage?

I can easily take my 19" carryon but it's obviously much smaller for internal space.

I know the weather isn't great in the UK right now so if I'm going to get stuck somewhere, I'd like to have my clothes with me and such.

Any suggestions or thoughts? many thanks in advance.
