One of the beauties of the internet is that I get to comment on a situation that I didn't witness and for which I don't have all of the facts.

OP, welcome to FT! You handled the criticism better than most newbies do.

So it sounds like, after a cursory reading of the EU regs, Jet owes you for one IDB. The vouchers are yours to keep. That's their problem for sending the wrong currency. There are definitely better experts than myself as to the recovery process.

Given the circumstances, it does not sound like the airline has a legal obligation to do anything extra because you are pregnant, but if it were me, I'd do everything I could from a customer service standpoint to help you throughout your journey.

The best thing you can do is stick to facts. Keep as much of the emotional side out of it as possible. I do understand why you considered this incident a nightmare. It sounds awful.

Please answer the questions about why you didn't just let your SIL stay behind while you traveled with your husband. That would clear up a lot of questions here.

But in the end, once the baby arrives, you are going to have far, far greater things to think about than this flight. Congrats!
