Easy way to figure out how much points are worth:

Price out a rental (say, a 3-day weekend rental in a Challenger R/T (Adrenaline Collection) from JFK). One of these from 3/29 10am to 3/31 10pm is $517.47 before taxes and fees. It's also 3,000 points; in this case the points are worth around 17.25 cents each. Good luck getting even close to that with airline miles

But also good luck getting it to work on hertz.dumb

Hertz points are potentially extremely valuable.
