I have 32k VS miles that I really don't use - and it appears that using any of those for an award would be hundreds in fees/fuel/taxes...

So thinking of burning them on a Virgin America flight.
I found the table here showing the redemption rates for a round trip flight:

LA to NY for 25K Round Trip seems like It may be worth it... any suggestions/help on trying to find availability? Is this a good way to use 25k miles? If my dates were flexible I'm seeing flights at about $300 +Fees Round trip in the Main Cabin.
