When we (we being Jackal and I) booked it there were no scheduled flights between PHO-AIN. The only way we could go was through BRW and FAI. It still shows southbound flights out of AIN on their route map, but I just looked again and don't see any. Interestingly there is a PHO-BRW flight a few times a week. That wasn't there when I looked when booking our trip. Might be able to get an interesting routing using that.

As for published fare, I'm almost positive there wasn't a published fare when we booked that award. Even more doubtful with the BTI side flight.
