That aspect doesn't really concern me.

1. Even if it's sold out, it won't be sold out out of BBY; there certainly will be passengers boarding in RTE and PVD, so seats will be available.

2. On several occasions I've seen passengers board Acela trains with a ticket for a different train, either a Regional or an MBTA train. In each case, the only repercussion for the passenger was getting kicked off at the next stop.
