Wandering down Fading Memory Lane

Thinking back over a few decades of transatlantic flights; my memories became misty. Harking back to a time when I, and the planes, would be described as narrow-bodied I recalled a time when many journeys began (and ended) on Buckingham Palace Road. I hazily recall a white(?) building and posters exhorting me to “Try a little VC10derness”; where BOAC buses departed regularly for Heathrow; while across the street TWA had a similar service: both free on presentation of a flight ticket.

Now the planes (and I) are wide-bodied and I find myself wondering when those buses ceased to operate. Can anybody jog my memory, please?
