not sure if this is valid .. but given the new nonstop AC YYZ-ICN route starting in June, you should try YYZ-ICN-KUL on AC and Asiana.

i go to KL a couple of times a year and take YYZ-HKG or NRT and then MH from there.

KL is an awesome city wiht the best food in teh world. nasi lemak breakfast mmmm.
