I fully agree to the driver since this is a matter of comfort, however, I still feel by far safer on Capetown and so more in the Stellenbosh area than I feel in Detroit, New Orleans or Oakland. New Orleans' average annual per capita homicide rate of 52 murders per 100,000 people, so is Capetown's rate. And considering that the US has both, the highest homicide rate in the western world a nd the highest incarceration rate in the world (25% of the world's incarcerated population are living in the US), "justice and retribution" appears not to be a real solution,.
