The southern half of the Innsbruck to Munchen line via Garmisch-Partenkirchen is lovely. You leave Innsbruck to the west climbing the northern wall of the valley before turning north over the higher meadows and towards the Zugspitze of Germany. I took it last week and its a largely empty old train that trundles stopping at every small station. Highly recommended.
