I'm kind of in a similar situation.

My itinerary is:

TG 413 BKK-SIN 1130-1450
SQ 890 SIN-HKG 0735-1120 (The next day)

I want to go sightseeing on my layover, so I was hoping I could check my bag all the way through to HKG. Is this possible? Or do I have to claim and recheck?
