Book them on ctrip, but plan on contemplating staying elsewhere when you arrive. If you want to use my ctrip account (I have some sort of VIP status with them that permits hotel cancellations at the very last moment), please feel free to shoot me a PM.
ETA: Both jiejie and myself have posted trip reports about those cities (read them). Finding hotels in the on the spot is honestly pretty easy, but having reservations in hand is always a good idea. In spite of the fact that my hotels in Kashgar and Kuche were simply dreadful, my overall experience from that trip was amazing. And, Turpan is honestly my favorite town in all of China.
