Story time!
Late last year I got to the (formerly) Jumeirah Essex House in NYC only to find out that I'd been upgraded to a corner suite with a view of central park. Nice.
I got to the suite and found the door ajar. I thought it odd but continued in. The room looked untouched, and clean, so I assumed it was fine. Then I walked into the living room of the suite.
On the desk was what a videography course in high school had taught me was a script treatment. Title: "Interview with Rory". I called the front desk, and they said they'd send someone up to check it out.

Being the huge golf fan that I was, I nosily read into it a bit. In with the logistical details were time and location. THE INTERVIEW WAS IN MY ROOM IN 1 hour. I quickly snapped a pic to make sure I had the details readily available, and then I went to check out the room because I'd never stayed at the Essex house before. Just for the record, if it had been anybody but my favorite golfer I probably would not have done this. Two minutes later a guy from CBS came in. After quizzing him a bit I found out that the interview had originally been in my room, but had just been moved down, and I had an exact arrival time. That explains the upgrade.
I had plans to have lunch and be at the Met in a few hours, but my friend and I skipped out on lunch and just waited in the lobby. 40 minutes later Rory walked in and I was ready. I (respectfully) asked for a pic with him, got one with him and holding the Wanamaker trophy (the trophy for the PGA championship) and I went to the museum a very happy man.
