I haven't dropped Qantas, but I've put my points into cold storage. I've just got a BA Amex card and joined BAEC (living in uk). I also will not fly via Dubai, so that eliminates QF for Europe-Oz flights.

Lifetime silver would be great, but since the lifetime points don't expire, you have time later.
