Airmiles shorthauls are pretty good value, especially during their discount periods. Also, they are points you can actually redeem!

I used 2800 for a YYZ-YVR trip in Novemeber, as I couldn't get there using AP points.

Redeeming them for Shell car washes is also not a bad deal: 150 airmiles for 5 washes (a $59.95 value).
