Sure. The guy who gutted US's elite program and instituted the most miserly meal windows in the industry and also ripped out IFE from his airplanes is going to provide milk and cookies to AA's elites.

The fact of the matter is that the mergers have lead to less competition and so less need to compete for elites. The game has changed, and not for the better. Delta thoroughly gutted their program after the merger, UA downgraded theirs, and you can bet your bottom dollar that Dougweiser will do the same once their merger completes.
