Absolute farce, but relieved to know the poor treatment is being fairly shared! I was due back BA16/12 on Sunday 10 March in paid F. Called YouFirst, which diverted to the Gold line, and was then told that, as I am Silver, that I had to be transferred to the Silver line.

The agent absolutely refused to re-route or use other OW carriers, or put me in a lower cabin.

I'm on the BA16 all the way to LHR the following day - which means a day of cancelled meetings and an extra day off work.

I presume the EU Regs will bite, but as I'm on holiday I will save that battle for when I'm back in London. If anyone is in the same boat and can share any information with regard to the application of the EU Regs to this particular situation, please share. I'll read up on the Sticky, too.
